Buy
When RSI is below 35, a buy can be considered. The saved budget, position limit and other required checks must also allow it.
CRYPTO PAPER TRADING
Turn an idea into a Shark, test it with virtual money, and see what happens as the market moves. Understand every buy, sell and wait before deciding whether to use real funds.
No card. No exchange connection for simulations.
A Shark is your saved trading rule. Start from a template or build your own, then review the details before it begins.
Choose a supported coin and define when a buy is allowed. Keep your first test simple: a price condition, a schedule, or an indicator condition.
Set the amount per buy and the maximum number of buys. The example uses 20 USDC × 5 buys = 100 USDC of virtual budget, with one position at a time.
Check the buy rules and target exit in the review. Starting a simulation uses virtual funds; it does not connect an exchange or authorize real orders.
Follow the price chart, recorded buys and sells, open holdings and activity explanations. Check the data timestamp before interpreting the result.
This example uses RSI (14) below 35 on closed 1-hour candles, with a 5% gross price target. These numbers demonstrate the controls; they are not an optimized strategy.
When RSI is below 35, a buy can be considered. The saved budget, position limit and other required checks must also allow it.
After a purchase, the target is 5% above its entry price. Fees reduce the result; a 5% price move is not a 5% net return.
If RSI is 42, the entry condition is false. If required data is unavailable, checks wait for fresh data. A running Shark does not need to trade on every check.
Compare the closed-trade result with changes in unsold holdings. A rising account value alone does not tell you whether an exit rule has worked.
It follows incoming market prices after you start. It records modeled buys, sells and costs against a separate virtual balance. This is forward testing, not a replay of years of historical prices.
Real orders can face different fees, liquidity, delays and fill prices. A short test can miss changing market conditions. Simulated results do not predict future returns, and virtual funds cannot be withdrawn.
The Free plan includes one active simulation. Each personal simulation runs for up to 30 days. Drafts and saved history do not consume an active simulation slot. See pricing for the full counting rules.
No exchange account, API key, deposit or payment card is required to start a SharkRule simulation. You need a SharkRule account.
New real-money activation is not open yet. The initial release is being prepared for UK residents with eligible Coinbase Advanced Spot accounts. When available, it will require a separate review and approval of the exact pair, amount, entry, optional exit and limits. A simulation never switches itself to real money, and its custom rules are not automatically available for Coinbase execution.
Check whether the rule behaves as you intended: when it enters, when it exits, why it waits, and how costs change the result. Change one setting at a time and keep the previous result for comparison.
